It has become the most expensive all-time oil painting sold to a private individual for a total price of $450.3 million from the Christie's auction house in New York. The owner would be the Saudi prince Bader Bin Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Farhan al Saud. The sale of this artwork had remained shrouded in mystery because we do not know who was the real buyer until the New York Times discovered who was hiding behind. He is the lowest rank of the royal family and works in business. He is a close friend and was a university partner of the Saudi throne Mohammed Bin Salman.
